Notre Dame Academy High School Open House

Notre Dame Academy High School hosted 900 visitors for their Open House on October 21, 2018.

As always, beginning with a prayer, presentations were made by the President, the Principal and two students. The President, Sr. Patricia Corley, used the analogy of a popular car advertisement which asks prospective customers what they most want in a new car. She then walked the audience through a mental check list of what they should look for and will find at Notre Dame Academy; Excellent academics, Strong spiritual development, Extraordinary athletics and activities, and a strong commitment to Safety on this Open Campus.

Our Principal, Kate Jaenicke gave an address focused on our excellence in education and a tradition that helps our young women succeed in their future. She highlighted what our alumnae do now: they go on to be doctors, lawyers, police officers, artists, writers, directors and more. The education they receive here at Notre Dame Academy is the backbone of their futures.

Our previous year’s classes have received National Merit Scholarships (5 consecutive years) as well as pulling in awards across the board for Varsity Club, Petrides Award, Minty Award.

NDA has had more female Varsity Club winners than any other school on Staten Island. NDA student-athletes have won the Varsity Club award for the past three consecutive years.

Each family in attendance was given a folder full of important information about our programs including our AP and curriculum information, scholarship and college information for our most recent graduating class, Scholarship and Financial Aid availability and more. Over 200 faculty, students and present parents were on site to show our visitors around.  We look forward to welcoming those who choose to join our family in the Fall.
