The President of Notre Dame Academy Elementary and High School is the Chief Executive Officer and is appointed by the Members of the Corporation of Notre Dame Academy. The President is responsible for leading the spiritual, educational, and fiscal vitality and advancement of the Academy.

The role of the President is one of collaborative leadership with the following responsibilities:


• Infuses and integrates Catholic identity, Gospel values, and the charism of the Congregation of Notre Dame into all aspects of the Academy
• Clearly and enthusiastically promotes the mission of Notre Dame
• Oversees the religious education program of the schools
• Intentionally cultivates the spiritual growth and faith development of ALL staff


• Engages all members of the school community in defining and articulating a shared vision for the Academy
• Collaborates in creating and executing short and long range strategic plans
• Models and promotes a school culture where creativity, responsible risk-taking and research-based experimentation are valued.


• Affirms the centrality of “liberating education” as the core value of the educational program
• Collaboratively sets the highest standards of educational excellence, leadership and learning for educators and students
• Ensures a continuous, holistic curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 12 which is reflective of national, state and diocesan guidelines
• Models high professional standards and actively engages in ongoing professional development
• Hires and supervises the Principals


• Advises the Board chairperson and reports regularly to the Board of Trustees
• Meets with the Administrative team of Congregation of Notre Dame
• Participates in meetings of the Parents’ Guild and Alumnae Association


• Models strong organizational skills and ensures sound financial management
• Coordinates the development of the annual budget
• Supervises the Director of Finance, Director of Development and Plant Manager
• Oversees the provisions for and allocation of scholarship and financial aid monies
• Updates and ensures that educators and staff are aware of and act in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws as they impact the Academy
• Assess and align programs, policies and procedures in light of Gospel values
