Daily Prayer - Week of June 1

Prayer for Friday, June 5, 2020

Prayer for our Graduates:

God, source of all life, Bless our graduates as they celebrate the past and welcome the future. Guide them with hope as they embark upon paths known and unknown, comfortable and challenging.

May they stay true to your voice, which they find in their heart’s desire. May they always walk in your presence, and may their knowledge and talents be a powerful means for good in the world.

As they take their leave from this academy, grant them wisdom, peace and happiness.

Amen.

Prayer for Thursday, June 4, 2020

Dear God, in this time where we are seeing hatred form around the country, Be a LIGHT! These have been some of our darkest days, weeks, and even months.

We ask for Your Strength and Guidance to create positivity. Help things to reach a new normal and be peaceful again, so we can do away with curfews.

Our nation has been living in their houses for months and found much Love and Friendliness –from people we know and total strangers.

PEACE is only possible with Your help, Lord so please be the Light that shines on our troubled times and make us whole, ONE FAMILY, again.

Thank You, Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Tuesday, June 2, 2020

Loving God, You are the Author and Sustainer of our lives. You know the anguish of the sorrowful, you are attentive to the needs of the brokenhearted. Hear Your people who cry out to You in our need; strengthen our Hope in Your lasting goodness.

We pray today for those who have died because of violence, of terrorism. Draw them to yourself; and let your face shine upon them. May they be greeted with choirs of angels and experience your Eternal Peace and Joy. Be near to all those who have been touched by violence: those who have been hurt, lost their loved ones or lost their sense of security.  Be for them a steady comfort and safe resting place.

And, dear Lord, soften the hearts and steady of the minds of those who would do violence to others. Help us to follow the example of Your Son, Jesus, who gave His life of transformation -Non-Violently.

May hate be replaced with LOVE, violence with PEACE,

and darkness with Your LIGHT.

Amen.

Let US be People of PEACE.

Prayer for Monday, June 1, 2020

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your Love, not violence. Send forth your Spirit and we shall be created, and YOU shall renew the face of the earth, in Peaceful ways.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit instructed the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise, and respond in peaceful and constructive ways to injustice among our sisters and brothers, and ever enjoy your consolations.

Be with all those who have lost family and friends, throughout our country and world, with the Great Love and Comfort You have for us, through Christ, our Lord, and Our Lady and St. Marguerite, inspiring us in these trying times.

Amen.
