Nancy Brady

Nancy Brady received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY.  Upon graduating from college, Mrs. Brady spent several years working in the travel industry followed by a ten-year career on Wall Street in retail sales with a major investment services firm.  Raising her children came next, at which point she pursued a teaching career. Mrs. Brady spent five years teaching in elementary education, followed by a fifteen-year career teaching history to high school students. 20 years and counting!


She was the recipient of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History teacher summer institute at Brown University. The focus of her study and research was specific to the life of George Washington.


In 2009, she was recognized at the Teacher Appreciation and Recognition Day, by the Office of State Senator Andrew Lanza.  She is a member of the New York Historical Society.


As moderator of the Baking Club, Mrs. Brady oversees the baking of delicious treats that are served once a month with NDA’s Just One Meal at Project Hospitality. Bake club members love the experience and feel wonderful about donating dessert to complete Just One Meal.


Mrs. Brady has had the privilege of being the Group Leader for the last several  NDA’s annual trips. Adventures to Hawaii, Ireland, England, and Scotland have been incredible! It has been a pleasure traveling the world with our students. Paris, Nice, and Barcelona here we come!
