Rebecca Winant

Ms. Winant has been a teacher at Notre Dame Academy High School since the 2016-2017 school year. She was hired shortly after earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Adolescent Education from St. John’s University. During her first year teaching, Ms. Winant remained in Graduate School at St. John’s and received her Master’s Degree in Literacy. She is a proud alumna of St. John’s and is so blessed to be teaching in such a supportive academic atmosphere. Throughout her time at NDA, she has mainly taught Global History at the freshman and sophomore levels, but she has also taught Economics and U.S. History, as well. Notre Dame Academy holds a very special place in her heart; she feels truly honored to be able to teach such dedicated, hardworking young women, like herself.

Notre Dame Academy has opened many doors for Ms. Winant. She has been so lucky to have been able to chaperone many school trips to various parts of the world, like Hawaii, England, Ireland, and Scotland. In addition, she also moderates the American Sign Language Club and co-moderates the school’s Student Government organization. In her spare time, Ms. Winant enjoys spending time outside, from going to the beach to hiking mountains and trails! She is a lover of travel and hopes to be able to visit as many cities and countries as she can!
