Karen Gallo received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University with a major in Finance. She later pursued a Master’s degree in secondary mathematics/education at the College of Staten Island. Ms. Gallo possesses a NY State certification license for adolescent mathematics (grades 7-12).
She has had over thirty years of high school experience having taught both boys and girls. Ms. Gallo has taught all levels of math including algebra, geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and accounting. She has also worked for St. John’s College Admission Program for many years teaching both college-level Calculus and Math for Liberal Arts courses.
Ms. Gallo started teaching at NDA in 2018 and is currently teaching College Math for Liberal Arts to seniors as well as 9th Grade Math Lab and 11th grade SAT Test Prep courses. She is currently the moderator for NDA’s Girls Who Code club.
